"ALRIGHT, I'LL BE OFF." V1, dressed in a beige and blue sweater and dark brown pants, grabs the front door's knob, announcing her departure to her partners. Gabriel is quick to rush over to her, hugging her tightly. "I'm going to miss you so much!" "YUP. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SAY THAT AGAIN." "I'm going to miss yoooou." "GABRIEL." The angel would take a step back, as V2 drew closer to say his goodbyes, which was merely a small kiss, nothing like the theatrics and drama that Gabriel put forth. With everything said and done, V1 opened the door and waved, picking up a calico tote bag as it stepped out. The machine softly glowed as the light of the sky was diminishing. After all, the sun was beginning to set. Then the water drops of the rainstorm hit her and her clothing. "Wait!" Gabriel, worried about the rain, called out, an umbrella in his hands. "Don't you want an umbrella, darling?" V1 turned back towards the house, the lighting inside being so warm and inviting compared to the cold and dreary world outside. It took the black umbrella from Gabriel's hand, opening it before turning around and heading away once more. So begun a long and tiring journey, though it was one V1 was ready and able to make. First, they would have to make their way to the train station, which was an easy task for them now that they had been living in Costerini for almost a whole year. Something that was so weird to think about for V1. Not many people filled the streets, not many cars drove along the roads. It was a quiet and rainy Saturday night. The atmosphere of the city made V1 feel a calm peace, with small echoes of melancholy hiding within. And soon she would arrive at the train station, closing and shaking the rain off of her umbrella as she stepped indoors. Passing through the lobby, she stepped out onto the train platforms, navigating across to the correct platform, platform two. She settled on one of the benches that sat along the platform. It's quiet here too. Nothing but the sounds of rain hitting the platform's ceiling, and other nearby structures and objects. It would be like this for quite a few minutes, until a train horn blared, announcing the arrival of a train stopping at platform one. The train would soon leave. V1 silently sat, patiently waiting for his train to arrive. Another train passes through the station, though it does not stop. Must've been an express ride. Costerini isn't that important compared to some of the other towns. A train finally arrives on platform two. It goes all the way out to a little town named Kinallen, though V1 would be getting off the train at one of the other stops. She stands up, waiting for the train to stop. Soon she'd board, settling down on one of the carriages. It's still quiet here too. A soft alarm is heard as the train's doors close, departing a few seconds after they have been securely shut. V1 begins to relax as the train exits the station, heading southeast out of Costerini. V1 lets herself rest for a short period. The train will take about an hour to get to her destination, giving her ample time to take a break. Their eye begins to shut, though they make sure to try and not sleep. After a few minutes of peace, V1 opens her eye as she overhears something. She pulls her wallet out from her pants pocket, opening it to remove a grey card. It's one of those cards that you use to pay for public transport. I literally cannot think of a more concise way to describe them. Help. She waits for the staff member to reach her, handing them the card. After a few seconds, the card is handed back to her. She puts it back in her wallet, and the wallet back in her pants pocket. He decides to fetch something out from the bag he was carrying, which he had placed on the empty seat next to him. He withdraws his notebook and pencil, the ones he stole from the sad train station in Whitlodge what felt like so long ago. The book is more than halfway filled with V1's thoughts and drawings, and these next few pages will be no different. It puts its pencil to the notebook's paper, silently sketching away as the sun secretly slips below the horizon. The machine would sit there and sketch, just as calm as its environment. Waiting for the train to stop at the right station, which was not the end of its journey. This is only the beginning. As the train moved along, the ride got bumpier, meaning V1 would have to be careful with her pencilwork. Luckily she had brought an eraser, incase any mistakes were made. Always good to be prepared. Now, it's time for her to get ready to hop off the train. The announcer would interrupt her drawing session by announcing the town she was headed for. Karicome. His notebook and pencil were returned to the bag, which he'd sling across his shoulder in anticipation. He would also grip the umbrella's handle, once again waiting for the train to stop, and its doors to open. Once it did halt to a stop, they stood up, heading to the doors, which were opening now. They step out, letting the rain hit them for a few seconds. As they walk along, they open the umbrella. They then halt, fishing out their wallet to grab their travel card. They have to 'tap off', so that they can actually pay the fare and such. The card is returned to the wallet, wallet returned to the pocket. V1 heads off into the night. The rest of the journey will be done solely on foot. She takes out her phone, opening her messages to read some instructions she had been sent. And off she went to follow them. Karicome was completely silent. Not a single creature inhabited the streets, other than V1. She was completely alone. The main shopping and business area of the town, which is just outside the train station, was quite small. It took only a couple minutes to reach the houses, and only a couple more minutes to be basically nowhere. Before her connection to any sort of cell tower would cut off, she would send a message to her lovers. 'i don't know if i'll be able to talk when i'm actually there, so just know i love you both so much. goodnight!' She went back to the instructions she was sent, to continue her journey. Off into the fields, then into a dark forest, which she walked quicker through out of a small fear. But once she reached the edge of the woods, she saw her destination. A quaint little wooden cabin, which is where she would be staying for a few days. It rushes towards the cabin, opening the door and walking inside. The cabin isn't too cramped, though small enough to be cozy. There's only one bedroom, which houses two beds. The furniture is seemingly handmade, all from beautiful woods, just like the cabin. Though the hands that crafted these gorgeous works were not just anybody, instead they were some of the most divine... V1 grabs the keys to the cabin, that were delicately sat on the kitchen counter. Next to the keys, there was a beautifully hand written note, which V1 picked up, scanning and reading the text. It is incredibly fortunate that it can read the beautiful yet confusing cursive handwriting of the note. 'Dearest V1, I am unsure if you would even begin to understand how much of a pleasure it is to have you here. What I am sure of, is that you know of the significance of The First Fields to us all. Truth be told, I hope you find pleasure, comfort, and peace during your stay here. Every day, at 2:30 PM, I will come over to check on you and your needs. Of course, you can call for me if I am needed any time before or after my visits. I will always be there for you, the same way I am always there for my beautiful children. Please, do make yourself at home, sweetheart. Sincerely, Miku' It places the note back down, heading to the bedroom. It would place its bag on one of the beds, then placing its wallet and phone on the nightstand. It sits down on the bed, taking a moment to breathe. The moment dies once V1 gets up and removes her clothing, putting it into the calico bag. The bag is then placed onto the floor, and V1 walks back to the main room. She briefly looks around some more before settling down on the couch. She begins to think about everything. Part of the reason that she came here was to process her emotions, and figure out how to deal with them. She never learned how to do either of those, she wasn't meant to do those things. V1 *was* a war machine after all. This process continues until V1 grows tired, heading off to bed. The bed is slightly uncomfortable, though V1 doesn't really care. She snuggles in, slipping off into sleep. -- im skipping the next day for now it's just more of v1 processing things and drawing some more shit. skipping to the night V1 stood out in the field, staring up at the night sky, which was coated in stars and clouds. The night was always so beautifully peaceful to them, filled with a certain serenity she could not find elsewhere. Perhaps it was the false night they had observed long ago on Limbo, or the beautiful night she spent fishing on Wrath. Whatever it was, she knew it was a result of Hell showing her something peaceful. The cold nightly winds gently pushed the knee length dress they were wearing. Along the field, fireflies and crickets danced and sung, vaguely interested in the large bug, who glowed, did not dance, and sung in such odd tones. They were interested in V1, and her soft mechanical buzz, which was mostly covered by the sweet sounds of the crickets. Something in the sky catches V1's eye. Something quite unusual, something that should not be there. And yet, it's there, right there in between all the stars. Something bright, and blue, something like a star, but not quite. V1 knew what this was, God had told her and Gabriel about it one evening. That bright blue star was not just something, but some*one*. And it was not just someone, but someone of divine status. Which would be incredibly odd, weren't all the angels here already? Apparently not. It takes a few minutes for one of these divine meteors to collide with the surface. The trip is about 200 kilometers, give or take. The ground shakes, and soon a thud echoes across the empty field, taking a few seconds to reach V1. Using the light of her eye as a shitty flashlight, she makes her way to the impact site. The person that fell briefly shrieks, generally appearing afraid. Soon it gets up and sees V1 not so far away now. It calls to her. "Um, hello? Who are you? Can you help me?" Of course, she'd respond. "MY NAME IS V1, AND I WILL TRY MY BEST TO HELP YOU." Soon she'd make it over, able to roughly see the form of the unknown person. They're tall, somewhat muscular, and wearing some sort of robe or dress. Whatever it is, it was long. They have a helmet on their head that seems a bit too big for them, and a sword in their hand. They have wings and a halo, and are surrounded by a soft blue glow. "I KNOW IT'S ALL SORTS OF CONFUSING RIGHT NOW, BUT YOU'RE GONNA BE FINE. YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS." They would mumble something under their breath. "(A machine?)" "WHAT'S YOUR NAME?" "Marie. My name's Marie." "BEAUTIFUL. ARE YOU ALRIGHT? ANY INJURIES OR ANYTHING?" "I-I think I'm okay. Kind of scared, but I don't think I'm in danger now." "THERE'S A LITTLE CABIN JUST OVER THAT WAY, I'M STAYING THERE FOR A SHORT WHILE AND I'M SURE IT'S FINE IF YOU STAY THERE A WHILE TOO, IF YOU'D LIKE." "Yes, please." V1 turns around, gesturing for Marie to follow. The two make their way along to the little cabin, which was glowing with the lights V1 had left on. Once they were close, V1 took out the front door's key, unlocking it and holding it open for her guest. "Thank you..." Marie steps inside, looking around the area. V1 steps in as well, closing and locking the door. Marie wanders toward the couch. "Can I sit down?" "SURE, MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME." Marie settles down, V1 soon joining them. "SO, YOU'RE AN ANGEL, RIGHT?" "Of course, such a silly question." Marie lies the sword they carried down on the ground. It has somewhat dried blood on it. "JUST CHECKING. I'LL NEED TO REPORT YOUR EXISTENCE TO GOD, SO YOU MAY JOIN HIM AGAIN. OR YOU CAN RUN OFF, AND END UP BEING FOUND BY SOME OTHER ANGEL, WHO'LL REPORT YOUR EXISTENCE. THERE'S NO WAY AROUND IT." "The Lord is here?" "SURE IS!" "That's so good to hear..." "I'LL HAVE TO GO INTO THE NEAREST TOWN TO DO THAT, WILL YOU BE OKAY ON YOUR OWN?" "I think so, yes. Before you go, how do you know the Lord? You seem to be close to Him." "OH, I'M GABRIEL'S PARTNER. ARCHANGEL GABRIEL." "I see. Good luck out there!" V1 heads into the bedroom to grab her phone, then outside. She unlocks her phone, running towards Karicome until she received good signal. Once she got signal, she immediately rang God's number. "Hello Victoria." "HEY, THERE'S AN ANGEL OUT HERE. JUST CAME DOWN IN A DIVINE METEOR, CRASHED INTO THE FIRST FIELD. SAYS THEIR NAME IS MARIE." "...I will be there tomorrow, 2:30 pm. I will collect Marie then. Thank you very much for informing me, sweetie. Is there anything else you need?" "NO, JUST THAT. LOVE YOU MOM." "I love you too. Sweet dreams!" V1 hangs up, rushing back to the little cabin. She'd trip over a rock, though she immediately got back up and kept running. She would soon enter the cabin once more. "DONE. GOD WILL BE HERE TOMORROW AT 2:30 PM. I'M PROBABLY GOING TO GO TO SLEEP SOON." "I think I will too. Today felt so long..." V1 walks into the bedroom, removing her dress. She sits down on her bed, as Marie walks in holding their blade. They place it down against the wall, next to the empty bed which they would now claim. They remove the loose helmet, revealing short black hair. V1 doesn't see their face, which would soon be halfway covered by the bed's blanket. V1 soon follows suit, snuggling into her bed. -- skipping to god arriving. There's a knock at the door. V1 excitedly answers it. God steps into the home, with a smile on Her face. Today, He wore a grey cardigan over a white graphic shirt, and a long light blue skirt. "Greetings, my darlings." Marie steps out of the bedroom, gently holding their sword. "You're here..." "Indeed, I am. It is so wonderful to see you again, Marie." "It's wonderful to see you too." "We should head out as soon as possible. Tell me when you two are ready." The two quickly get themselves ready to go out, then walk to the door. "WE'RE READY." Miku nods, walking out, back to Karicome. The other two follow along, Marie trailing behind a bit as they are still confused about their surroundings. Once they're back in Karicome, God heads toward a particular car. It's Her car. "Marie, you can sit in the back. V1 will sit with me in the front." God opens the car door for Marie. They climb in, putting their blade down on the floor, before closing the car door. V1 enters the passenger seat as God enters the driver's seat. they drive along and idfc cut to gods house The car comes to a stop at the front entrance of some fancy high rise apartment building. V1 and Marie both enter as Miku hands the car's keys to one of the staff, since they do valet parking here. God is above parking His own car. He would soon enter, finding V1 and Marie on some seating in the fancy lobby. Marie seems to be enchanted by the scenery. "Come on then. We have a long elevator ride ahead." With the wave of Her hand, the Lord beckons for the two to follow Her to the elevators. It's a short walk. He pushes the button to go up, and waits. One of the elevators dings, opening shortly after to let a woman exit. God and His little party pile into the elevator, with God tapping a little keycard thing to a scanner, then pressing the highest floor number. The elevator doors close and the elevator is quickly sent upward. After a short, yet long trip, the elevator stops at the top floor, opening into the first lobby. God and His little party walk towards the large doors at the other end of the room. God taps that same little keycard against a particular spot on the front doors, and automatically, they open outward. So the group heads on through, into the gorgeous home. "Wow..." Marie looks around, examining every detail that they can see. "This is not my only home, but it is the main one. I do like to call it Heaven, though you do not have to refer to it as such." Before the conversation can kick up too far, V1 hears a familiar voice coming from deeper within the home. It heads towards the sound. Marie almost starts to follow V1, though stops as God speaks up. "I think we shall get you settled into one of the spare rooms. We can talk more there." "What about miss V1?" "She will be fine, and I am sure you will see her again. She comes here with Gabriel often enough." Marie clings to God's side, walking with Him to the elevator. Meanwhile, V1 makes her way to the snuggle pile, stopping dead in her tracks once she sees who's there. Her wings raise upwards as his eyes lock with hers. "GABRIEL!" V1 enters the snuggle pile, snuggling Gabriel. "Oh, I missed you. I've been crying every night..." "STOP BEING DRAMATIC!" The other members of the snuggle pile giggle at the couple's antics. The two banter on and on, meanwhile Marie settles down onto their new bed in one of Miku's spare rooms. "Let me take the sword and helmet. If you would like, I could craft you a new one." "It's fine." "All good. I will return with some clothes for you." God grabs the sword and helmet off of Marie, and exits the room, closing the door over, but not fully shutting it. Marie is off to explore their new room. The room is quite simple, consisting of a single bed, wardrobe, vanity and stool, and a picture of some landscape. Simple, but good enough to call it home. Good enough to call it Heaven. God would soon return with handfuls of clothing on hangers, which He would hang up in the wardrobe. "You don not have to change now, but I would recommend it. I would recommend a shower, too. There is a bathroom on this floor with a shower, I am sure you will be able to find it on your own." "Thank you. Can I have a hug?" "Absolutely." Miku hugs the small, scared angel, instilling hope within them as He does so. He hugs them for only a few seconds, before letting go. "Be good now, I must go attend to other matters." "Can you say bye to miss V1 for me?" Miku nods, leaving the room, shutting the door fully as She leaves. She makes Her way down the hall, back to the elevator, and back down to the first floor to collect V1 and leave.
